National Handbag Day

“My biggest fear is that when I die, my husband will sell all my bags, for what I told him they cost” -Unknown

There seems to be a day for everything these days! But national handbag day must be one of my favorites. The handbag that I am carrying the most these days is the Parker handbag from Coach. I purchased it as my go-to fall handbag.

I had to own this piece because of the subtle details that make it special. The darker hardware, the suede on the side, and the soft leather are all the characteristics of this handbag that makes it a worthy investment. What I do love the most about it is the fact that it can be worn different ways. It can be a shoulder or cross body bag which allows me lots of variety when I am styling it. As a shoulder bag it quickly creates a dressier, dinner look but as a cross body bag, it can be styled as a more casual, everyday look.

How about the color? This is the first grey handbag that I have owned and I must say it is living up to its potential. Grey has been one of the colors that has been catching my attention this season and I felt that the best way to add it into my wardrobe was with a handbag. The clothing possibilities with this neutral color are endless. I am sure that you will be seeing a few of my posts featuring this handbag!

If you love Parker like I do, check it out because it comes in a variety of colors. Of course, I wish I owned them all. A girl can dream, can’t she?

As we know the goals for this month are:

1)       Practice self-care

2)       Indulge in your hobbies

3)       If you are unhappy in a situation it is okay to remove yourself from it

4)       Write down a few goals you would like to achieve

5)       Push yourself to accomplish something you have been hesitating to do

To reach one of the goals listed, I took my Parker out for a stroll at the beach. New England has awarded us with some nice fall weather and I took full advantage of it. I’m wearing it as a cross body to be hands-free. My cozy blanket scarf is from Old Navy. I purchased it last year and it is one of my favorites. Super soft and very warm, I highly recommend going to Old Navy for blanket scarves, you will not regret it.
